Sickle cell is an inherited blood disease in which the blood cells in the body become less and less due to the change in the shape of the teeth from round blood cells which is called sickle cell anemia.

1) Sickling Test - A screening test that will tell you if you have a sickle cell

2) HPLC Test is a confirmatory test which will let you know what kind of sickle cell it is

3) PreNatal Diagnostic Test - This test can be done to find out if your unborn baby has sickle cell or any other hereditary blood disease. )

4) New Born Screening - can be done as soon as the baby is born so that it is known whether there is any hereditary disease in the baby or not.

5) Genetic Counseling - Advice on how to protect the children of a family that has inherited disease from this disease..etc ..
